Happy Republic day !!!
Today, we are celebrating 75 years of being a democratic republic, a milestone that reflects our strength as a nation in the world.
These 75 years don’t reflect the age of our country; on the contrary, we are the youngest nation in the world. India has the highest youth population percentage in the world, with 27.2% of our population aged 15–29, over 50% under 25, and 65% under 35.
This isn’t just a statistic; it’s a massive opportunity! A young population means endless possibilities for growth, innovation, and progress. As Mahatma Gandhi said,
“An educated youth is the heart and soul of a nation.”
These words couldn’t be more relevant today.
We are a nation of young dreamers, guided by the knowledge of visionary leaders, yogis, thinkers, poets, and philosophers.
Why 26th January?
January 26 was chosen as Republic Day because it was on this day that the Indian National Congress declared Purna Swaraj (complete independence) from British rule during their session in Lahore.
Why do we celebrate this day?
Republic Day is more than just a national event; it's a festival where people from every religion, caste, creed, race, and gender come together to honor the spirit of unity in diversity.
It celebrates the implementation of the Constitution, which, by the way, is the longest constitution in the world, consisting of 395 articles when drafted.
It’s also a day to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters and soldiers who earned us our freedom, because, without their sacrifice, we wouldn't be able to celebrate this day.
The Celebration
From Kashmir’s snowy peaks to Kanyakumari’s golden sands, every corner of India celebrates this special day, highlighting the diverse traditions, music, dance, and heritage that define our nation. These art forms unite people in joy, making Republic Day celebrations incomplete without music and dance.
